ACTIVATED CARBON USES Activated carbon can be defined as a crude form of graphite with a random or amorphous structure, which is highly porous over a broad range of pore sizes, from visible cracks and crevices to cracks and crevices of molecular dimensions. Activated carbon purification is primarily based on a phenomenon called adsorption, in which molecules of a liquid or gas are trapped by either an external or internal surface of a solid. The phenomenon is somewhat similar to iron filings being held by a magnet. Activated carbon has a very high internal surface area (up to 1500 m²/g) and is thus an ideal material for adsorption. Activated carbon can be manufactured from a wide variety of raw materials containing a high percentage of carbon. The production process of converting the raw material into the finished adsorbent can be divided into chemical and thermal processes both of which require the use of elevated temperatures. |ACTIVATED CARBON USES IN VADODARA| |ACTIVATED CARBON USES IN GUJARAT| |ACTIVATED CARBON USES IN DELHI| |ACTIVATED CARBON USES IN MUMBAI| |ACTIVATED CARBON USES IN JUNAGHADH| |ACTIVATED CARBON USES IN GOA| |ACTIVATED CARBON USES IN PUNJAB ||ACTIVATED CARBON USES IN ASSAM| |ACTIVATED CARBON USES IN TAMILNADU||ACTIVATED CARBON USES IN CHENNAI|
